This evening I spent a few hours listening over a mound of old recorded songs that never left my guarded archive, which, in turn, inspired me to attempt strumming them for old time sake. It’s amazing to me how many memories are attached to music, and how music has the incredible ability to transport you to times you’d forgotten. So many of these songs (as hard as I tried to keep them impersonal), were very real stories inspired by my life and the things I’d wrestled with. This moment of nostalgia has me reflecting on the importance of authenticity in art/music – a very real struggle for a man with walls surrounding him.

  1. Glad to see you’re still making stuff! I’m just getting back into the swing of it now. Perhaps I should look into my archived as well, it’s been a long time. Looking forward to the new

Lemme know if you wanna do coffee soon!
